Charlene McCullough has spent her career inside the business office of senior care. That's the desk where the billing, the payroll, and the payer paperwork actually get done.

As Business Office Manager at Spruce Point Assisted Living and Memory Care in Florence, Oregon, a 90-unit licensed community, she ran the facility's complete financial operation: accounts payable and receivable, resident statements and collections, Medicaid payments and long-term care billing, resident trust and personal spending accounts, and payroll for a 24/7 care staff, including garnishments and child support withholding. She also handled the HR side of the office, from onboarding and background checks to E-Verify and SAIF workers' compensation reporting.

She currently manages all aspects of financials and payroll for two assisted living facilities, where she has built payroll systems from scratch and automated front and back office operations for a small owner-operated team.
